I’m Finding My Superman
when i was little, i've always dreamt about my superhero.
the ultimate superhero i know that would have saved me under any given situation.
he was described so humanly amazing with the big mumbo jumbo powers
and his well built body,
that the pictures i had about my superhuman live so vividly in my mind.
like in storybooks,
my superhero was like any other.
the one that could jump through hoops of fire and not get a single burnt mark.
the one that can fly sky high and in circles and would still be okay.
the one that can run with the speed of lightning.
the one that would be right by my side in seconds just as i’m about to fall to pick me up.
the one that would let me stand on his toes and we'd do the waltz.
the one that would never let go of me if all i’m hanging on to is the palm of his hands.
but now that i’m older,
i’ve realized, that superheroes never really existed the way i imagined them to be.
they're not magically gifted.
i mean go figure. we're on planet earth remember?
i guess generally, your superhero could be anyone. anyone at all.
be it the person who inspires you. or the person who has actually saved your life before.
and i’m sure we all would like to have that sense of security that someone is actually
watching out for you.
i guess you just have to look.
i’m finding my superman.
and i think, i have found one. one who had saved me.
and now i have one, who's saving me.
and another that will be saving me.
i just hope it’s the same superman.:)
in a not so creative summary:
don’t leave me. :)
